son on behalf of the said county, and for the mayor
and city council of Baltimore to appoint one suitable
and proper person on behalf of the city, to act as
referees and determine upon the price to be paid by
the said city, to the said commissioners, for the inter-
est of the said county in the said joint property, and
in case of disagreement between the said referees the
Chancellor of the State of Maryland shall appoint a
third suitable and proper person, who shall also act as
referee in the matter, and the decision of any two of
the said referees shall be binding both on the city
and county aforesaid, and final; and the said referees
shall receive such compensation for their services, to
be paid in equal proportions by the said city and
county, as the said commissioners and the said mayor
and city council shall deem fit and reasonable.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this act shall be
in force from and after the passage thereof.

An act to incorporate the Centred Building Associ-
ation.

8, 1850.

WHEREAS, Henry L. Buchler, John Meisner, Theo-
dore Geilfus, John Kraft, Jacob Kinzle, John Lipfel, John
Dressel, John Glazer, Lewis Lindner, Frederick Fried-
man, and others, of the city of Baltimore, have formed
themselves into an association, under the name and
style of the Central Building Association; and whereas,
the object of the said association is to encourage econo-
my and frugality, whereby the members thereof may, in
an easy and secure manner, accumulate a sum sufficient
to build or purchase a domicil for their families — There-
fore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the aforesaid members of said associa-

tion, as well as those who hereafter, according to the
constitution and bye-laws of said association, shall be-
come members thereof, be and they are hereby created
and made a body politic and corporate, by the name
and style mentioned in the preamble to this act, and by
its name shall have succession for twenty years, and
shall be capable by law to hold and dispose of property,
