those which are payable to bearer, shall be negotiable
or assignable by delivery only.

CHAP 607.

SEC. 18. And be it enacted, That nothing con-
tained in this act shall be construed to restrict the
right of the Legislature to impose, from time to time,
and at all times hereafter, to levy such reasonable tax
upon the property, real, personal and mixed, in which
the capital stock of the bank hereby incorporated shall
be invested, in common with similar property of any
other corporation of this State.

SEC. 19. And be it enacted, That this act shall con-
tinue in force until the year eighteen hundred and
seventy-five, and to the end of the next session of the
General Assembly thereafter.

CHAPTER 507.

In force, etc.

An act to allow David T. Wilson, former Sheriff of
Washington county, further time to complete his col-
lections.

Passed Mar 1,
1850.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That David T. Wilson, former Sheriff
of Washington county, shall be and he is hereby al-
lowed until the first day of March, eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, to complete the collection of all fees due
him as Sheriff aforesaid, in the same manner as he
might have done whilst in office.

Time allowed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said David T.
Wilson, before he proceeds to make his collections
under this law, shall serve on the party or parties
charged, a notice, of the amount charged, and the par-
ticulars thereof, to which shall be annexed an affida-
vit, taken before some justice of the peace of this
State, that the sum so charged is bona fide due.
