CHAPTER 446.

CHAP. 447,

An act to make valid the proceedings of certain Com-
missioners, therein mentioned.

1850.

WHEREAS, a certain George Troyer of Baltimore coun-

ty, in and about the year eighteen hundred and twenty-
seven, died seized of certain tracts or parcels of land in said
county; and whereas, by application by Jacob Troyer,
one of the heirs at law of the said Troyer, deceased, to
Baltimore county court, a commission was issued to
Amon Richards, Philip Synder, and John Christ, to
divide and make partition of said estate; and whereas,
the said commissioners did execute the said com mission,
and make return thereof according to law; and whereas,
from neglect the said proceedings were not ratified and
recorded in due time — Therefore,

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the proceedings of Amon Richards, Philip Sny-
der, and John Christ, commissioners to divide and
make partition of the real estate of George Troyer,
deceased, be and the same is hereby declared to be as
valid and effectual, to all intents and purposes, as if the
same had been ratified and recorded within the time
specified by law, in such cases.

CHAPTER 447.

Made valid.

An act relating to Stockfield by Non-Residents, and to
provide an easy mode of transferring the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That if any person being a resident of
any other State, District or Territory of the United
States, or of any foreign country, shall die, or shall have
died, possessed of or entitled to any of the public stocks,
or debt, created or issued upon the credit of this State,
or of the stock or debt created or issued upon the credit
of the city of Baltimore, or of the capital stock of any
joint stock company, incorporated by the authority of
this State, his right or title thereto shall devolve upon
his executor or administrator, duly constituted and ap-
pointed as such by the law of the State, District, Terri-
tory or Country wherein he may have resided at the
