LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 437.

has a family, and has no means of supporting himself
and family, except by his property in the hands of
George Gardiner, his guardian; and whereas, the said
guardian and the said minor is anxious that ho may
receive all his property, and be allowed to act as a man
of full age.

Guardian to
pay over.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That George Gardiner, guardian to John
S. Gibbons, a minor, be and he is hereby authorised
to pass his final account as guardian, before the Or-
phans Court of Prince George's county, and to pay
over and deliver to the said John S. Gibbons, all pro-
perty and money that may be due to him on said final
account, and to take his receipt for the same, which
shall be acknowledged and recorded in the office of
Register of Wills of said county, and have the same
effect as if the same was executed by a person of free
age.

Allowance to
guardian.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said court, in
making said settlement, and passing said account,
shall allow the said George Gardiner for all monies
bona fide paid by him, to and for the use of said John
S. Gibbons, and for all liabilities assumed or entered
into by him for his account, up to the time of said

Proviso.

settlement with, the said court; provided, the said
court shall deem the same reasonable.

Liability of
ward.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That from and after the
said settlement in the Orphans Court, and the receipt
of his estate, the said John S. Gibbons shall be an-
swerable for all debts, contracts and liabilities made
and entered into by him, and may sue and be sued,
as fully as if he were of full age.
