An act to confirm the acts of the Commissioners of
Baltimore County, in regard to certain State Taxes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the levy imposed by the commis-
sioners of Baltimore county, on the assessable prop-
erty of said county, of twenty-five cents on the hun-
dred dollars, on the seventh day of September, eigh-
teen hundred and forty-eight, for State taxes for the
year eighteen hundred and forty-eight, be and the
same is hereby ratified and confirmed, and shall have
the same effect and operation as if the said levy had
been imposed within the time prescribed by the act
of eighteen hundred and forty-one, chapter twenty-
three, and the supplements thereto.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
of Baltimore county, be and they are hereby authori-
sed and empowered to make the necessary arrange-
ments for the collection and paying the said levy to
the Treasurer of this State.

An act to condemn and lay off a lot of ground for
a Public Landing, upon the lands of George
Thomas, on Patuxent River, and make a Pubic
Road therein mentioned.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly, by the petition of sundry citizens of Saint Mary's
county, that they suffer great inconvenience for want
of a public landing on Patuxent river, in said county,
at a place called Horse landing, and a public road
thereto — Therefore.
