An act to allow John Thawley, Collector of Carolina
County, further time to complete his collections.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John Thawley, collector of State
and County taxes, for eighteen hundred and forty-seven,
and eighteen hundred and forty-eight, in Caroline
county, be and he is hereby authorised to collect any
and all taxes, or balances of taxes, due to him, and now
remaining uncollected for the years mentioned, in which
he was collector of taxes in the said county, in the same
manner and with the same privileges and powers ho
could or might have done within the time limited by
law.

To deliver ac-
count.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said John
Thawley, before he proceeds to collect, under and by
virtue of this act, shall make out and deliver to the per-
son or persons from whom any luxes, or balances of
taxes, may be demanded, on account of the taxes or ba-
lances due from such person or persons, and annex
thereto an affidavit that the name is due and unpaid.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the authority here-
by given, shall continue until the twenty-fifth day of
December, eighteen hundred and fifty-one, and no
longer.

An act for the relief of Theodore Bossier, of Har-
ford County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Harford county, are autho-
rised and directed to levy on the assessable property of
the said county, the sum of twenty-five dollars annually,
or so long as he may need the same, for the support of
