charge, and in case of an equal number of votes, for
and against such nomination, the minister having
the charge as aforesaid, shall have the casting vote.

CHAP. 303.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That upon the removal
of the aforesaid Richard Brown from the pastoral
charge of the said circuit, by the church authorities
as aforesaid, then he shall cease to be a member of
the aforesaid corporation, and his successor in charge
of said circuit shall fill the place so vacated in said
corporation, so that the minister having the pastoral
charge of the aforesaid Patapsco circuit, for the time
being shall in virtue of said appointment be a mem-
ber of the aforesaid body politic, and president
of the board of trustees, according to the rules and
discipline of the aforesaid church, and the deeds and
grants by which they hold said property.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said corpora-
tion or body politic, shall receive and hold the afore-
said property, and manage the same for the members
of the church aforesaid, according to the rules and
discipline of said church by which they hold their
office, and shall keep a journal of their proceedings,
which when duly signed by the president and coun-
tersigned by the secretary, shall be conclusive evi-
dence of appointments to office, and other business

Proviso.

An, act supplementary to an act to Incorporate the Plea-
sant Valley Union Band, of Washington County,
passed December session, eighteen hundred and
forty-one, chapter one hundred.

Passed
March 5, 1850.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the name of the Pleasant Valley Union Band,
of Washington county, be and the same is hereby
changed to the name of the Mechanics Band, of
Rohersville, and by that name shall enjoy all the
privileges and be subjected to all the responsibilities
provided for in the act to which this is a supplement.
