An act for the relief of Charles Flowers, of Harford
county.

Commissioners
to levy.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Harford county, be and they
are hereby authorised and directed, at the time of mak-
ing their next annual levy for said county, and annually
thereafter, to levy on the assessable property in said
county, the sum of thirty dollars for the support and
maintenance of Charles Flowers, an indigent idiot, dur-
ing his natural life, to be paid to such person as shall
have the care and custody of said idiot.

An act to Incorporate the New York and Maryland
Steamship Company.

&c.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Horace B. Tebbets, F. L. Rich-
ardson, J. Cowles, and all who shall as hereinafter
provided, become their associates, with their succes-
sors and assigns, be and are hereby incorporated by
the name of the New York and Maryland Steamship
Company, and as such shall have and use a common
seal, have power to sue and be sued, plead and be
impleaded, in any court of law and equity, and to
make bye-laws and all other regulations as may be
necessary and convenient for the proper management

of its affairs; provided, the same be not repugnant to
the laws of this State, or of the United States.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said corporation
shall have and enjoy all the powers, privileges and
rights necessary and proper for carrying on the trans-
portation, by means of Steam Vessels, of coal and
other merchandize and passengers, to and from any
