CHAP. 267.

benevolent relief of the sick and distressed, and the
promotion of their purposes generally.

Objects of cor-
poration.
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted. That the funds and es-
tate of the said corporation shall not at any time be
divided or distributed amongst the members, thereof, or
diverted from the purposes contemplated by its forma-
tion, without the permission of the General Assembly of
Maryland.
|
|
|
Reservation.
|
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act of incor-
poration shall continue and exist for thirty years from
its passage, unless the General Assembly of Maryland
should alter, and amend, or annul it, which right it re-
serves to the Legislature to exercise at pleasure.
|
|
|
Banking forbid.
|
SEC 6. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act shall be so taken or construed as to allow the said
corporation to issue any note, token, scrip or device,
to be used as currency.

A further supplement to the act relating to the Inspec-
tion of Guano.
|
|
|
Compensation.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Inspector of Guano shall, alter the passage
of this act, receive from the importer or consignee for-
ty cents for each ton of Guano, weighing two thous-
and two hundred and forty pounds, which be shall in-
spect.

An act to Incorporate the Green Mount Academy, in
Carroll county.
|

Incorporated,
&c.
|
SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Isaac D. Croft, Jacob Troxel,
Samuel Kesselring, be appointed trustees for the
Green Mount Academy, in Carroll county, and their
successors to he appointed as hereinafter directed,
shall hereafter be and they are hereby declared to be
