joining thereto, for the use of said church, be and the
same is hereby made valid.

CHAP. 43.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That Robert P. Dunlop,
Greenbury M. Watkins, Gustavus White, and George
Huddleson, be and they are hereby authorised to hold
to them and their successors, the aforesaid tract of
land, for the use and benefit of said Bethseda Church.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all the rights and
privileges are hereby conferred upon the members
and congregation of said church, which are now en-
joyed by all other denominations of Christians within
this State, under the act of eighteen hundred and
two, chapter one hundred and eleven.

An act to Incorporate the Maryland Machine Manu-
facturing Company.

Passed Jan. 30,
1850.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Thomas Wilson, Alexander
Murdoch, William Woodward, John H. Haskell, Wil-
liam Kennedy, Alexander Fisher, Thomas Lansdale,
William S. Peterkin, Robert W. Alien, George Poe,
William G. Thomas, Hugh McElderry, William P.
Jenks, their associates and successors, be and they are
hereby made and constituted a body corporate and po-
litic, by the name of the Maryland Machine Manufac-
turing Company, and as such shall have succession,
and may sue and be sued, implead and be impleaded,
in any court of law or equity, and may have and use a
common seal, and the same may change and alter at
pleasure, and shall have and may exercise all the pow-
ers, rights and privileges which are incident to a corpo-
ration, except as restricted by this act, and which are ne-
cessary and proper for manufacturing machinery and
other articles, and vending the same; and for the afore-
said purposes, may purchase, lease, hold and use lands,
not exceeding five hundred acres in quantity, and erect
thereon such buildings and improvements as may be
deemed necessary or expedient.

properly already contributed by the parties hereby in-
