and their own convenience, to be used for the reception,
safe-keeping and forwarding anything that may be en-
trusted to their care.

CHAP. 226.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That when said wharf
herein contemplated shall have been constructed, the
said Hugh Jenkins, William McCann, and John D.
Turner, their heirs and assigns, shall have full power
and authority to levy, charge and collect, from till ves-
sels of every description whatsoever, using said wharf,
the same reasonable tolls or wharfage, that may now
be sanctioned by law or usage in this State, and in
the same manner.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That nothing herein con-
tained shall be so construed as to allow the said Hugh
Jenkins, William McCann, and John D. Turner,
their heirs or assigns, to interfere in any manner with
the fights of private property.

An act for the erection of an additional Election Dis-
trict, in Prince George's County.

Passed Feb. 25,
1850.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
by the memorial of sundry citizens of the fourth elec-
tion district in Prince George's county, that they are
subjected to great inconvenience from the size and ex-
tent of said district, that the place of holding meetings
and elections is so remote, that they are unable to attend,
without the most serious inconvenience — Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That a new election district shall be
laid off and taken from the fourth election district in
said county, to be called Aquasco, and denominated
the eighth election district in Prince George's, county,
and which said district shall be contained within the
following boundaries, namely; beginning at the county
wharf at Magruder's ferry, and running with the public
road leading from thence to the Brick Church of Saint
Paul's Parish, from thence with the public road that
leads to Washington, via T. B., until it shall intersect
the line dividing Nottingham, or the fourth election
district of the county, from the Piscataway, or the fifth
election district of said county, then with the said divid-
ing line of said district to the Charles county line,
