An act for the relief of John C. Mitchell, of Allegany
County.

1850.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the register of the land office for
the western shore of Maryland, be and he is here-
by authorised and directed to correct the course of
the sixth line of a tract of land lying formerly in Fred-
erick, but now in Allegany county, called "Love in a
Village," as set forth in the patent for said tract, issued
to David Mitchell on the thirtieth day of June, seven-
teen hundred and eighty-six, so that the course of the
said line in said patent, may correspond truly with the
sixth line in the certificate of survey of said tract filed
by the said Mitchell, in the said land office, on the sixth

day of May, seventeen hundred and seventy-six; pro-
vided, nothing herein contained shall interfere with the
rights of any other person or persons, acquired before
or since the issuing of said patent.

Proviso.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said patent, when
so corrected, shall have the same force and effect in law,
as if the aforesaid error had not been committed in is-
suing the same.

CHAPTER 194.

To have effect.

An act to incorporate the National Fire Insurance Com-
pany of Baltimore.

Passed Feb. 13,
1850.

WHEREAS, The present and increasing trade and
population of the City of Baltimore, and of the State
of Maryland, seem to demand the organization of an
Insurance Company against losses by fire in the city,
and the several counties, and in the Howard District,
and of vessels in the Harbor, which will afford an ade-
quate security to the insured, as also a safe and good
investment of capital to the stockholders thereof —
Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That John Pickell, Nicholas L. Wood,
James Frazier, Joseph J. Speed, Job Smith, Z. Col-
lins Lee, George E. Sangston, Samuel K. George,
