CHAP. 171.

two hundred and sixty-seven, entitled, an act prescribing
general regulations for the incorporation of manufactur-
ing and mining companies.

State may tax.

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act contained, shall be construed to exempt the lands
and other property of said company from taxation.

Duration of
charter.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this act of incor-
poration shall remain in force until the year eighteen
hundred and eighty, and until the end of the next

Proviso.

General Assembly thereafter; provided, that nothing in
this act shall be so construed as to deprive any future
Legislature of the right to alter, amend or repeal said
act.

CHAPTER 170.

Passed Feb. 28,
1850.

An act supplementary to an act entitled, an act to regu-
late the inspection of Lumber, at Port Deposit, Cecil
county.

Additional in-
spectors to be
appointed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Governor be and he is hereby
empowered, by and with the advice and consent of the
Senate, to appoint five additional inspectors of lumber
at Port Deposit, who shall each have the privilege of
appointing a deputy.

To be govern-
ed by existing
regulations.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said additional
inspectors, with their deputies, shall be governed by the
same laws, which now govern the inspectors of lumber
at Port Deposit.

CHAPTER 171.

Feb. 28, 1850.

An act to authorise the Trustees of Primary School
District, number seventy-one, in Frederick County,
to dispose of the real estate belonging to said Dis-
trict, and locate elsewhere.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly
by the trustees and other citizens residing within the
