section of the said act hereby revived, shall devolve up-
on the directors appointed on the said act hereby reviv-
ed, who shall perform them as prescribed in said sec-
ond section, before the said first day of May, eighteen
hundred and fifty.

CHAP. 144.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the directors ap-
pointed in the first section of the act hereby revived, shall
be the directors of said company, until the first day of
May, eighteen hundred and fifty.

An act for the benefit of Joseph W. Walker.

Passed Feb.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of insolvent debtors for the
city and county of Baltimore, be and they are hereby
authorised and empowered to grant to Joseph W. Wal-
ker, the benefit of the several acts of assembly, passed

25, 1850.

May have ben-
efit.

for the relief of insolvent debtors; provided, that the
said Joseph W. Walker, shall in all other respects com-
ply with the requisitions of said acts of assembly, not-
withstanding the application of the said Joseph W.
Walker, for the benefit of the insolvent laws within the
last two years.

CHAPTER 144.

Proviso.

A supplement to the act of December session, eighteen
hundred and forty-seven, chapter two hundred and
nineteen.

Passed Feb. 26.
1850.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that the trustees of the Centreville Academy, in Queen
Anne's county, complied with all the provisions of the
act to which this is a supplement, except the provision
which required a certified copy of the advertisement, in
the said act mentioned, to be lodged with the treasurer
of the school commissioners of the said county, within
the time limited by the said act; and whereas, the said
commissioners in consequence of want of notice of the
