Resolution in favor of Hugh Cox, of Charles County.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the collector or collectors of Charles county for the
year eighteen hundred and forty-seven, be and they are
hereby authorised and required to receive from Hugh
Cox of said county, on account of his State tax, certain
certificates of interest or coupons in favor of J. Lownds,
of five dollars each, numbered from seven thousand one
hundred and sixty-six to seven thousand one hundred
and seventy, inclusive, and certain other certificates or
coupons in favor of J. Lownds, for ten dollars each,
numbered from seven thousand one hundred and sixty-
one to seven thousand one hundred and sixty-five, in-
clusive, and amounting in the whole to seventy-five
dollars, and it shall be the duty of the commissioner of
loans to receive the same from the said collector or col-
lectors, and issue certificates therefor, in the same man-
ner as if the said certificates or coupons had been paid
over to the said collector or collectors, and by them paid
to the commissioner of loans, prior to the first day of
October last, and it shall be the duty of the treasurer in
like manner to receive said certificate and credit said
collectors for the same.

Resolutions in favor of Asa Needham.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the following statement of Asa Needham of Baltimore
city, for forty-four dollars and twenty cents, as agent for
the owners of tobacco, claiming compensation for storage
and damages thereon, be and the same is hereby al-
lowed.
Be it further resolved, That as soon as the foregoing
statement and account shall be presented to the trea-
surer of this State, in compliance with the provisions
hereof, that said treasurer be and he is hereby authoris-
ed and required to pay out of the tobacco fund of this
State, the sum aforesaid to said claimant.
