Resolution in relation to the Maryland Penitentiary,
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the State be and he is hereby autho-
rised and directed to pay to the directors of the Mary-
land Penitentiary the sum of fifteen thousand dollars,
to be paid in four quarterly payments from the first day
of April next, the said sum to be taken out of any un-
appropriated money in the Treasury, and to be applied
by the directors towards the payment of the expenses
and carrying on the business operations of said insti-
tution.

Resolution in favor of the Chaplains of the two Houses.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer be and he is hereby authorised and di-
rected to pay to the Rev. Mr. Hirst, chaplain to the
House of Delegates, and to the Rev. Mr. Nelson, chap-
lain to the Senate, each the sum of one hundred dollars,
for their services the present session of the Legislature,
out of any money not otherwise appropriated in the
treasury.

Resolutions in relation to the Treasurer's Report.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
twelve hundred copies of the report of the Treasurer of
Maryland, required by the Constitution to be made to
the Governor on the first Monday of January in every
year in which the Legislature does not convene, shall
be printed under the direction of said Treasurer, and
ten copies of the same shall be forwarded by the Trea-
surer to each member of the Legislature.
And be it resolved. Thai it shall hereafter be the duty
of the Treasurer in his annual report, to give a list of
all persons indebted to the State of Maryland, together
with the amount in each case due, and the account on
which the same is due.
