CHAPTER 315.

An act to allow Jesse J. Dalrymple, administrator of
James A. D. Dalrymple, further time to collect the
fees due to the said James A. D. Dalrymple, late Re-
gister of Wills of Calvert County.

Authorised
to collect.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Jesse J. Dalrymple, administrator of James A. D.
Dalrymple, be and he is hereby authorised to collect all
fees or balances of fees due to the said James A. D.
Dalrymple as register of wills for Calvert county, until
the first day of January eighteen hundred and fifty.

CHAPTER 316.

Mar. 10, 1848.

A supplement to the act passed at the present session of
the legislature, and entitled, an act to reduce the num-
ber of Justices of the Peace in and for the City of
Baltimore, to change the mode of compensating them,
and for other purposes.*

Governor to
appoint.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That His Excellency the Governor, be and
he is hereby authorised and empowered, at his discretion,
in addition to the number of justices of the peace di-
rected to be appointed by the act to which this is a
supplement, to appoint and commission an additional
number not exceeding four, which in his judgment the
exigencies of the people of the city of Baltimore may
require, which said additional justices of the peace, when
so appointed and commissioned, shall be subject in every
respect to the provisions of the act to which this is a
supplement.

passage.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect on the day alter the day of its passage, and shall
relate exclusively to the city of Baltimore,
