CHAPTER 312.
act to authorise the Levy Court of Kent County to
appoint Commissioners to value and lay out a public
road in said County, and for other purposes.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
that the levy court of Kent county, be and are hereby
authorised and empowered, in their discretion, to open
and lay out a public road, beginning at or near the divi-
ding line between the lands of Edward Ringgold and
Charles Boon, on the public road, and running so as to
intersect the public road leading to Wilmington at
the convenient point which in their judgment will be

most conducive to the public interest; provided, that
...assent of the parties through whose land the said
road may pass be first had and obtained; and provided
...that a good and substantial bridge over Morgan's
...k, not less than sixteen feet wide and with a draw

...cted at the expense of the parties applying for the
...ning of said road, for the accommodation of the
public travel.

An act to incorporate the Mechanicstown, Harbaugh's
Valley and Pennsylvania Line Turnpike Road
Company.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a company be incorporated to make a
turnpike road from Mechanicstown or some convenient
nt on the Frederick and Emmittsburg Turnpike Road
Harbaugh's Valley and Sabillersville, in Frederick
county, and thence through part of Washington county
the Pennsylvania line.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That subscription books
all be opened at Mechanicstown and Sabillersville,
and the same shall be opened at Mechanicstown under
the direction of Peregrine Fitzhugh, John Arthur,
Charles Gilpin, William C. Landers and John Rouzer,
Sabillersville under the direction of Henry Harbaugh
C., Solomon Harbaugh, Ebenezer S. Annan, Peter
Clain and Charles William for a capital stock of
