CHAPTER 302.

A supplement to the act entitled, aft art to incorporate the
Laurel Manufacturing Company.

Name chang-

ed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the name of the Laurel Manufacturing Company,
incorporated under the provisions of the act entitled, an
act to incorporate the Laurel Manufacturing Company
passed at December session eighteen hundred and forty-
five, chapter two hundred and seventy-nine, be and
the same is hereby changed to and the said corporation
shall hereafter have and use the name of the Laurel
Machine Company.

Preamble.

An act to rebuild the Bridge over the Patuxent River,
known as the Priests' Bridge.

WHEREAS, it has been represented to the General
Assembly of Maryland, that owing to the heavy
freshets of last fall the bridge over the Patuxent river,
known as the Priests' bridge, was carried away — There-
fore,

sed to re-build
bridge.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners of the tax of Anne
Arundel county, and the levy court of Prince George's
county be and they are hereby authorised and empow-
ered to assess and levy a sum of money not exceeding
two hundred dollars, on the assessable property of their
respective counties, at the time of levying their next

county rates, together with the commissions for col-
lecting the same, which said assessment shall be made,
levied, collected and paid to the commissioner appoint-
ed by this act or to their order as soon as the same shall
become payable by law, and to be by them expended
in repairing or rebuilding the bridge known by the name
of the Priests' bridge.

Commission-
ers appointed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the following per-
sons are appointed commissioners for repairing or re-
building said bridge, to wit: on the part of Anne Arun-
del county, Barton Duvall and Basil D. Hall, on the
part of Prince George's county, Robert Bowie and Basil
D. Mulliken, and the said commissioners, or a majority
