CHAPTER 294.

An act relating to the commissions of Justices of the
Orphans Court of Baltimore city and county, Howard
district and of the several counties of this State.

Chief and as-
sociate justices
to be designat-
ed in the com-
mission.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act
separate commissions shall be issued to the justices of
the orphans court of Baltimore pity and county, Howard
district and the several counties of this State, designa-
ting in the commissions so issued the appointment of the
chief justice or associate justices.

Form of the
commission.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That hereafter the form
of commission, for justices of the orphans court shall
be as follows: State of Maryland, to wit: to A. B.,
Esquire, greeting: Be it known, that reposing great trust
and confidence in your judgment, integrity and love of
justice, you are hereby appointed justice of the
orphans court of to do equal right and justice
according to the laws of this State in every case in
which you shall act under this commission, freely without
sale, fully without denial and speedily without delay, and
you are appointed and authorised to execute the powers
of the said orphans court honestly and faithfully, accord-
ing to law, until you shall he duly discharged from the
said office — Given under the seal of the State of Mary-
land, this day of Witness Chan-

cellor.

CHAPTER 295.

Preamble.

An act to incorporate the Hope Company.

WHEREAS, It is represented to this General Assem-
bly, that certain creditors of the Union company are
willing to convert the greater part of the sums due to
them into shares of a new company, representing lands
of the Union company now mortgaged to the said credi-
tors, and that it is for the interest of the shareholders
and creditors of the said company that a new company
be organised— Therefore,

Maryland, That Charles F. Mayor, Duff Green, Ben-
jamin E. Green and James H. Hamilton, or a majority
