SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That all such parts of
previous laws as relate to the appointment and quali-
fications of commissioners, be and the same are hereby
repealed.

Inconsistent
acts repealed.

An act to change the location of the School House num-
ber seven, in the third election district of Charles
County.

Passed
Feb. 18, 1848.

WHEREAS, the present school house number seven,
in the third election district of Charles county is in-
convenient to a majority of the residents of said school
district,and a more central location is desirable — There-
fore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Walter Mitchell, Francis Thompson,
Charles Wills, Joseph Stewart and Joseph E. San-
ders, trustees of school district number seven, in the
third election district of Charles county, be and they
are hereby appointed commissioners, with full power to
sell or otherwise dispose of said school house and lot
thereto belonging, on such terms and in such manner as
to them or a majority of them shall appear most advan-
tageous, the proceeds whereof to be applied to the pur-
chase of a lot of ground in said school district, as they
or a majority of them shall deem most suitable, and to
the erection of a school house thereon.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid com-
missioners be and they are hereby fully authorised and
empowered to execute a good and valid deed for the
school house and lot hereinbefore directed to be sold
to the purchaser or purchasers thereof, for the same,
and they are also required to cause to be executed by a
good and valid deed to the present trustees of said
school district and their successors, a good and suffi-
cient title to such lot as they may hereafter purchase in
compliance with the provisions of this act.
