any banking privileges, or any right to issue any bank
note or notes, or certificates of deposit payable to
bearer, or small notes for circulation of any kind whatso-
ever.

CHAP. 283.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That the right is hereby
expressly reserved to the General Assembly of Mary-
land at its pleasure to alter or repeal this act of incor-
poration.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That this act shall com-
mence and be in full force from and after the passage
thereof, and such corporation shall be restrained by the
act of December session eighteen hundred and thirty-
eight, chapter two hundred and sixty-seven, entitled,
an act prescribing general regulations for the incorpora-

tion of manufacturing and mining companies.
SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That any company here-
after formed shall have the privilege of passing over
the lands of said Baltimore Mining Company, so as
to connect any lateral rail road with the rail road or roads
of said Baltimore Mining Company, by paying said
company such sum or Bums as may be agreed upon by
three disinterested persons appointed by the commis-
sioners of the tax of Allegany county to value said da-
mage or damages.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act
contained shall he construed so as to exempt the lands
and other property of said company from taxation.

CHAPTER 283.

Maryland, That Alexander King, Daniel Uhl, Joseph
Uhl, Thomas J. McKaig, Henry Thomas Weld,

Beall, Thomas Shriver and Alpheus Beall, be and they
