ed; provided, that nothing herein contained shall affect
any cases where advertisements of contemplated trans-

An act to divorce Cordelia, L. Ward, from her husband
Richard Chauncy Ward.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Cordelia L. Ward, be and she is here-
by divorced a vinculo matrimonii, from her husband
Richard Chauncy Ward.

Divorced.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the name of Corde-
lia L. Ward shall be henceforth changed to Cordelia L.
Wright, and that the names of her children, Rosell
Ward and Anna Ward shall be henceforth changed to
Rosell Wright and Anna Wright.

Names chang-
ed, &c.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That the said Cordelia
L. Ward shall have the custody and control of her
children the aforesaid Rosell and Anna.

CHAPTER 270.

To have cus-
tody of her
children.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act to incorporate the
Maryland Steam Boat company.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the directors of the Maryland Steam Boat com-
pany, or a majority of them, shall have power and are
hereby authorised to purchase, build, construct, re-build
or repair any wharf or wharves, at any landing place or
places which they shall deem convenient to use on the
Chesapeake bay, or any of the rivers, creeks or inlets
