PHILIP F. THOMAS, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

1847.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said corporation
shall have and possess the right and power of conferring
the usual academical degrees.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this charter shall be
revocable at any time hereafter by the legislature of

this State.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That trustees aforesaid
shall make a yearly report of the state of the institution
to the Governor of this State, to be by him laid before
the Legislature.

An act authorising and empowering Joel Thomas, sheriff

of Queen Anne's county, to execute a deed to Perry
R. McNeille.

March 7, 1848.

WHEREAS, It has been represented to the General
Assembly, that Thomas Sudler, Esquire, late sheriff of
Queen Anne's county, by virtue of two executions is-

sued out of Queen Anne's county court, at the suit of
Aaron R. Levering and Sens and James Corner and
.Son, and to the said sheriff directed, commanding him
out of the goods and chattels, lands and tenements of
one Andrew Bailey, to satisfy the debt and costs in said
executions mentioned, sold to the said Aaron R. Level-
ing and Sons and James Corner and Son, all the right,
title, interest and estate of the said Andrew Bailey, being
four undivided tenth-parts and one-fifth of one other
tenth, of, in, to and out of three tracts or parcels of land
lying and being in Queen Anne's county, railed Clow's
Chance Resurveyed, Wright's Forrest and Chicester,
which descended from the late James Clow to his chil-
dren and grand children, and which are particularly des-
cribed in the return of the sheriff and the deed here-
inafter mentioned, they being the highest bidders, and
made return of said sale to the May term of Queen
Anne's county court, eighteen bundled and thirty-four,
and that said purchase money was fully paid and satisfi-
ed, that the said Aaron R. Levering and Sons, and
James Corner and Son, on the thirtieth, day of Janu-
ary eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, sold and assigned,
transferred and conveyed all the said interest, right and
title so sold as aforesaid in the said premises, to a cer-
tain Perry R. McNeille, his heirs and assigns, by deed of
