CHAP. 200.

CHAPTER 199.

An act extending the time of George W. Nutwell,

collector of taxes for the first collection district of
Anne Arundel County for completing his collec-

tions.

Empowered
to collect.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That George W. Nutwell, collector of the
first collection district of Anne Arundel county, for
the year eighteen hundred and forty-four, and eighteen
hundred and forty-five, be and he is hereby authorised
and empowered to collect any taxes or balances of
taxes now remaining due and uncollected by him in said
county, in the same manner and with the same pow-

ers and privileges as are allowed by existing laws in
such cases made and provided.

Affidavit to be
annexed to ac-

count.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said George
W. Nutwell in every instance, before he shall proceed
to the aforesaid collection, make affidavit before some

justice of the peace for Anne Arundel county that the
taxes remain due and unpaid, and that he has not re-
ceived any security or satisfaction for the same, or any
part thereof, more than the credits which may be allow-
ed thereon.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall con-
tinue in force two years from the time of its passage,
and no longer.

CHAPTER 200.

An act to incorporate the Middletown Savings Institution,

in Frederick County.

Incorporated.

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That George Bowlus, Daniel Keller of
Jacob, John Young of P., Jacob Thomas, and Jacob
Baer, and all and every other person or persons here-
after becoming members of the Middletown Savings In-

stitution in the manner hereinafter mentioned, shall be
and are hereby created and made a corporation and body
