seventy-four, folio one hundred and fourteen, and so
forth, be and the same is hereby made valid to all in-
tents and purposes, any law or custom of this State to

the contrary notwithstanding; provided, nothing herein
contained shall be construed to affect the interest of
third parties without notice.

CHAPTER 171.

Proviso.

A supplement to an act, passed December session eighteen
hundred and forty-six, chapter two hundred and eigh-
ty-six, authorising the Orphans Court of Caroline
County to appoint commissioners to lay out a primary
school district, to be called the Boonsborough district.

March 3, 1848.

WHEREAS, by the seventh section of the act to
which this is a supplement, it is provided that the trus-
tees shall be entitled to receive from the school funds
of election districts number one and two in said coun-
ty, a sum equal to the share of one school, to be paid
equally out of the school funds of said election districts
by the orphans court of said county, and whereas, by the
eighth section of said act it is provided, thai the property
which may be included in the aforesaid Boonsborough
school district, and is now taxed in other school districts,
shall be released from the same; provided, that a major-
ity of the trustees of said schools for which it is now
taxed in election district number one shall assent there-
to — Therefore,

Preamble.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That in lieu of the one-half of a school's
share, which the said seventh section of the aforesaid
act entitled the trustees of the Boonsborough primary
school to receive from the. school fund of election dis-
trict number one, the said trustees shall be entitled to
receive the one-fourth part of a school's share from the

that nothing herein Contained shall prevent the trustees
of said school from receiving for the year eighteen hun-
dred and forty-eight, the amount of funds which they
were entitled to receive under the original law to which
this is a supplement.
