CHAPTER 168.

An act to change the Fall Term of Washington and

Frederick County Court.

CHAP. 169.

March 3, 1848.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the fall terms of Washington county
court, be and the same is hereby changed to the fourth
Monday of November, instead of the third Monday;
that the fall term of Frederick county Court, be and
the same is hereby changed to the first Monday of
November, instead of the fourth Monday of October
as now provided by law.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all process in law
and equity, eminating from said courts, shall be changed
to conform to the provisions of (his act, that it shall take
effect from and after the first day of April next, that

all acts or parts of acts inconsistent with the provi-
sions of this act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

An additional supplement to an act entitled, an act to
provide for the establishment of District School in
Charles County, passed December session eighteen
hundred and thirty-eight, chapter one hundred and

ninety-one.

March 3, 1848.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners of Charles county,
be and hereby required at their next meeting for
the laying of the tax of said county for the year
eighteen hundred and forty-eight, to levy upon the
assessable property thereof the sum of five hundred
dollars, in addition to the sum of three thousand dol-
lars already required by law, for the purpose of pay-
ing off the claims of such primary school teachers of
said county as have not received compensation for
the year eighteen hundred and forty-seven, at the rate

of two hundred dollars per annum; provided, said teach-
ers shall have complied with the original act and the
several supplements thereto, to which this is in addi-
tional supplement.
