SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the proceeds of said
sale, after defraying all just claims against the said lot,
shall be paid to the treasurer of Baltimore county and to
the register of Baltimore city, in the same ratio, as the
said county and city originally paid for the purchase
of said lot.

An act relating to the Trustees of the Poor for Saint
Mary's County.

23, 1847.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the trustees of the poor for Saint Mary's
county, be and they are hereby authorised and empower-
ed to sell a certain parcel of land, not exceeding three
acres, a portion of the tract of land attached to the poor
house of said county, and interjacent between the land
of Benjamin G. Harris and Joseph Spalding, on such
terms as they shall deem advantageous to the county,
and to execute a good and sufficient deed of conveyance

for the same; provided, said trustees shall first obtain in
writing, the consent and approbation of the commission-
ers of the tax for said county, or a majority of them.

Proviso.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the proceeds
of said sale shall be paid over to the commissioners of the
tax for the use of the county.
