1846.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the said William Linthicum and Edward Green, or
their legal representatives, to keep, or cause to he kept,
an accurate account of all tolls collected upon the said
bridge, under the first section of this act, and after de-
ducting therefrom such amount as would have accrued
to them under the rates established in and by the second
section of the act to which this is a supplement, to pay
over the balance monthly to the commissioner herein-
after named.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That Richard Cromwell,
junior, of Anne Arundel county, shall be and he is here-
by appointed commissioner, for the purpose of carrying
into effect the provisions of this act.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of said commissioner to demand and receive from the
said William Linthicum and Edward Green, or their
agent, monthly, such amount of toll received upon said
bridge, as shall be found to be the balance, after deduct-
ing therefrom the amount which would have been receiv-
ed under the rates established by the second section of
the act to which this is a supplement, and to apply the
same to the repair of that portion of the road leading
from Annapolis to Baltimore, lying between Gwinn's
Falls Budge and the junction of the two loads known
as the Upper and Lower Annapolis roads.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said commissioner,
before he proceeds to act as such, shall give bond to the
satisfaction of the Commissioners of Anne Arundel
county, in the penal sum of two thousand dollars, con-
ditioned for the faithful performance by him of the du-
ties imposed by this act.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
sioner shall be allowed to charge for his services, such
compensation as to the Commissioners of Anne Arundel
county shall seem proper, which compensation shall be
included in the cost of repairing said road, and shall be
a charge upon the lolls received under the provisions of
this act.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall not go
into operation until the assent of the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore thereto, and until the assent in
writing of the said William Linthicum and Edward
Green, be filed with the; clerk to the Commissioners of
Anne Arundel county.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall be in
full force and effect until the first day of May, eighteen,
hundred and forty-nine, and no longer.
