which this is a supplement, shall not be so construed as
to authorise the sale of boots, shoes, or hats, by the case
or package.

CHAP. 289.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the bond required
from every auctioneer by the fourth section of the act to

which this is a supplement, and the tenth section of the
act of December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-
eight, chapter one hundred and forty-eight, shall be an-
nually renewed.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That this act shall go into
effect from and after the first day of April next, and that
the eighth section of the act of December session, eighteen
hundred and twenty-seven, chapter one hundred and
eleven, and the fifth section of the act of December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight, chapter one
hundred and forty-eight be, and the same are hereby
repealed.

CHAPTER 289.

An act for the relief of Maria Costly, Peter Hammond,
Charles Jones and Peter Theodore Jones, of Frederick
County, State of Maryland.

10, 1847.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the right and interest of the State of
Maryland in and to that part of lot number ten, in Fre-
dericktown, in this State, of which a certain William
Hammond died, seized, is hereby released to Maria Cost-
ly, the daughter; Peter Hammond, the grand child, and
Charles and Peter Theodore Jones, the great grandchil-
dren of the aforesaid William Hammond, deceased, to

be held as follows: one-half of the said lot by the said
Maria Costly, one-fourth by the said Peter Hammond,
one-eighth by the said Charles Jones, and one-eighth by
the said Peter Theodore Jones, as tenants in common,
reserving, however, to the vestry of All Saints parish,
in Frederick county aforesaid, the light of way to their
burying ground over the front part of the said lot now un-
inclosed, as fully as they now use, and have long used it,
for the convenient access to their burying ground.

As follows.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That William C.
Sappinglon, of Frederick county be, and he is hereby
appointed trustee, with full power and authority to sell
