LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 269.

of any such certified copy of any judgment rendered by
any district court and remaining unsatisfied on the said
first day of June, to any single justice of the peace in
said county, it shall be the duly of such justice to issue
execution thereon as the district court rendering the same
might have done.

Fees, &c.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That in all cases where the
debt or damages adjudged to any plaintiff or plaintiffs in
any suit or action brought before a justice of the peace
by virtue of this act, shall exceed the sum of fifty dollars,
the said justice shall be entitled to charge and receive
therein the fees now allowed to the district courts.

CHAPTER 268.

6, 1847.

An act to fix the compensation of Messenger to Prince
George's County Court.

Fifty dollar
per diem.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sum of fifty dollars per annum shall
be allowed to the messenger of Prince George's county
court as compensation for his services from and after the
expiration of the year for which the said messenger was
last appointed.

Repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws in-
consistent with the provision's of this act shall be, and
the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 269.

An act to authorise .and empower William Frazier and
Lydia Jane Wrightson to convey by deed to Benjamin
Stephens the tract of land therein mentioned.

Authorised to
convey.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That William Frazier, administrator, and Lydia Jane
Wrightson, widow of William Wrightson, late of Dor-
chester county, deceased, be, and they are hereby autho-
rised and empowered to convey by deed acknowledged
and recorded according to law, to Benjamin Stephens of
said county, the tract or parcel of land lying in Town
Point Neck of said county, it being the same land which
