be, and she is hereby authorised to resume, take, use
and be known by her maiden surname Lee.

Preamble.

An act to incorporate the First German Reformed Bene-
ficial Society of the City of Baltimore.

WHEREAS, George Eull, John Weppler, Sabastian
Vulde, George Traband, Frederick Forell, John Vollen-
berg, John Krapf, August Frilzen, Henry Fenner, John
Fenerbaum, Philip Almany, Philip Valentin and others,
of the city of Baltimore, have formed themselves into a
society, under the name and style of the First German
Reformed Beneficial Society of Baltimore, for the pur-
pose of aiding and assisting each other during periods of
sickness of themselves and families, or when overtaken
by misfortune, and have petitioned the General Assembly
of Maryland for an act of incorporation — Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the aforesaid members of said society,
as well as those who hereafter, according to the consti-
tution and by-laws of the said society, shall become mem-
bers of it be, and they are hereby created and made a

more, and by that name shall have succession for fifty
years, and shall be capable in law of purchasing, holding
and selling both real and personal property as other cor-

held at any one time, shall not exceed ten thousand dol-
lars, and to sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded,
and to make, have and use one common seal, and the
same to alter at pleasure, and generally to do all acts and
things which may be necessary to carry into effect the
objects of the said corporation.

Officers.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the officers of said
society shall consist of a president, vice president, trea-
surer, secretary, and a standing committee, consisting of
nine members, to be elected on the second Monday in
January annually, and a majority of members present
being necessary to a choice, the society shall also have
