CHAP. 25.

tended until the first day of June, eighteen hundred and
forty-eight.

A supplement to an act passed at December session eigh-

teen hundred and forty-two, chapter fifty-two, entitled,
an act to incorporate the Union Hall Company of Fell's
Point.

May hold real
estate.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,

the third section of the act to which this is a supplement
be, and the same is hereby so amended as to authorise
and allow the said Union Hall Company of Fell's Point,
to be capable of taking and holding real and personal
estate not exceeding in value, the sum of ten thousand
dollars.

Repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That so much of
the original act to which this is a supplement, as may be
inconsistent with the provisions of this supplement be,
and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 25.

38, 1847.

An act to change the name of Matthew Murray, carver,
of the City of Baltimore, to that of Heron Campbell
Murray.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act, it
shall and may be lawful for Matthew Murray, carver, of
the city of Baltimore, to take and use in lieu of his said
name Matthew Murray, that of Heron Campbell Murray.

May sue an
be sued.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall and may be
lawful for the said Matthew Murray, at all times hereafter,
to be called and known by, and hold and use the name of
Heron Campbell Murray, and by that name to sue and be

sued in any court of law or equity, contract, sell, pur-
chase, convey and devise, and in all cases to have and
exercise such rights, privileges and immunities as by law.
