LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 21.

Peter Trueitt, a citizen of the State of Delaware, upon
his application to the proper authority, and his compli-
ance with all the provisions of the laws of this State in
relation to insolvent debtors, except making proof of his
residence in this State shall be, and he is hereby declared
to be entitled to the benefit of said insolvent laws; and
on passage of this act, it shall be lawful for him to pre-
fer his petition for that purpose, and relief shall be grant-
ed him as fully and in the same manner as if he were a
citizen of the State of Maryland, any law to the contrary
notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 20.

Passed Jan.
20, 1846.

A supplement to an act for the benefit of John McCollum,
and others, passed December session, eighteen hundred,
and forty-five, chapter fifty-eight.

Time extend-
ed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the power and authority conferred by the first sec-
tion of the act passed December session, eighteen hun-
dred and forty-five, chapter fifty-eight, to which this is a
supplement, is hereby extended and continued until the
first of May, eighteen hundred and forty-eight, any law
to the contrary notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 21.

An act extending the time of Gassaway Knighton, collec-
tor of taxes for the City of Annapolis, for completing
his collections.

Time extend-
ed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Gassaway Knighton, collector of city
taxes for the city of Annapolis, for the year eighteen hun-
dred and forty-five be, and he is hereby authorised and
empowered to collect any taxes, or balances of taxes
now remaining due and uncollected by him in said city,
in the same manner and with the same powers and privi-
leges as are allowed by existing laws in such case made
and provided.
