CHAP. 158.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take ef-
fect from its passage, and continue in force until the first
day of June, eighteen hundred and forty-eight.

CHAPTER 157.

Passed March
2, 1847.

An act for the relief of Jonathan Tracy, diaries Jessop
and Richard Nelson, of Baltimore County.

Lawful to col-
lect.

SECTION I, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall and may be lawful for Jonathan
Tracy, Charles Jessop and Richard Nelson, former col-
lectors of tax of said county, to proceed in the col-
lection of all arrearages of tax according to existing
tax collecting laws of said county, and in as full and
ample a manner as if said taxes had been collected in the
respective years as they became due, and they shall have
the same power as if they had collected the tax within
the year, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

Make affidavit.

In force two

years.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Jonathan
Tracy, Charles Jessop and Richard Nelson shall, in
every instance, before he, or either of them, shall proceed
to the collection of the tax, make affidavit before some
justice of the peace of said county, that the same remains
unpaid, and they hath not received any security or satis-
faction for the same, or any part thereof, more than what
credits may be given.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this law shall he in
force for two years after its passage, and no longer.

CHAPTER 158.

Passed March
1, 1847.

An act supplementary to an act entitled, an act passed at
December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight,
chapter seventy five, appointing Trustees for the Poor
of Harford County.

Time changed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the time for appointing trustees of the
poor for Harford county, is hereby altered and changed
to the first Monday in March, of each and every year
hereafter, instead of the first Monday of April, as here-
tofore provided for.
