CHAP. 135.

In force 30
years.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall continue
in force for thirty years from its passage; and that this
General Assembly reserves to itself the right to alter and
annul the same at pleasure.

CHAPTER 134.

Passed Feb.
27, 1847.

An act to authorise Isaac Clare, of Baltimore City, to
dispose of a certain piece of land in Calvert County.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that Ezekiel Grives, of Calvert county, intermarried
with a certain Miss Clare, of said county; and whereas,
the said Ezekiel Grives and his wife are both deceased,
leaving an only child, David F. Grives, about six years
of age, whose only friend and protector, Isaac Clare, of
Baltimore city, uncle to the said David F. Grives; and
whereas, the said David F. Grives is entitled to ten acres
of poor land in Calvert county, which is the only pro-
perty left by Ezekiel Grives and his wife, and the only
visible means of support — Therefore,

Authorised to
sell.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by ike General Assembly of
Maryland, That Isaac Clare, of Baltimore city be, and
he is hereby authorised to sell and dispose of the interest
of the said David F. Grives, in and to the ten acres of
land in Calvert county, and to give a good and valid
title to the same.

Give bond.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Isaac Clare
shall, before he proceeds to sell under the provisions of
this act, give a bond, to be approved of by the orphans
court of Calvert county, faithfully to account for the
proceeds of said sale to the orphans court of said
county.

CHAPTER 135.

24, 1847.

An act to allow Joseph S. Wingate, former Collector of
State and County Taxes in Cecil County, further
time to complete his collections.

Time extend-
ed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
