CHAP. 122.
Issues forbid.

SEC. 5. And be if enacted, That nothing in this act
contained shall be so construed as to authorise the said
corporation to issue any note, token, scrip, device, or
other evidence of debt to be used as currency.

Enure for 40
years.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act of incorpo-
ration shall enure for forty years from the date of its
passage; and that the Legislature reserves to itself the
right to alter or annul the same at any time thereafter.

An act to incorporate the Wesley Chapel Parsonage Libra-
ry Association in the City of Baltimore.

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That George C. M. Roberts, Nicholas C.
Brice, Charles Cockran, junior, William Korkran, John
L. Reese, Thomas C. Watkins, Alexander Baltzell,
Samuel Thomas and William Sullivan, and such other
persons as are now, or may hereafter become members,
shall be, and they are hereby created and made a body
politic and corporate, by the name, style and title of the
Wesley Chapel Parsonage Library Association of Balti-
more, and by that name shall have continued succeesion,
plead and be impleaded, defend and be defended in any
court of law or equity in this State, or elsewhere, and
to make, have and use a common seal, and the same to
alter or renew at their pleasure.

To elect offi-
cers, &c.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said association shall
have power to elect annually, a president, secretary, trea-
surer, librarian and executive committee; to hold meet-
ings; to establish and put into execution, alter or abolish,
such by-laws, rules and regulations as to them shall seem
most conducive to the interest of the association; pro-

vided, the same be not contrary to, the laws of the State,
or of the United States; to purchase and hold a library
and apparatus, and to purchase, receive, hold and dispose
of any other property, real or personal, not at any time
exceeding in amount twenty thousand dollars; and ge-
nerally to do any other matter or thing necessary to carry
into effect the objects of the association.
