and advance to the contractor, upon the order of the Gov-
ernor, for the erection of said warehouse, such sum or
sums of money, and at such time or times as may ap-
pear to be requisite to effect the purpose of this act.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That when the warehouse
shall be completed, the Governor is hereby authorised
and required to remove the inspector from warehouse
number five to the warehouse to be erected under this
act, and annually thereafter to appoint an inspector for
said warehouse.

Repealed.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That warehouse number
five shall thereafter be used as a storage house, until oth-
erwise directed by the legislature; and so much of the
act requiring the Governor to appoint an inspector for
number five, be and the same is hereby repealed.

sell at a pre-
mium, not to
negotiate.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That unless the stock au-
thorised to be issued by this act will sell at a premium,
the commissioner of loans is hereby directed not to nego-
tiate said loan, but the treasurer shall apply any money
now standing, or which may hereafter be to the credit
of the tobacco inspection fund, to pay for the lot and
warehouse hereby authorised to be purchased and erect-
ed.

CHAPTER 98.

An act to authorise the Levy Court of Prince George's
county to fix the salaries of the messengers to the County
and Orphans ' Courts of said county.

Authorised to
fix salaries.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the levy court of Prince George's coun-
ty be, and they are hereby authorised and empowered to
fix the salaries of the messengers to the county and or-
phans' courts of said county.

Repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of
acts inconsistent with this act, be and the same are hereby
repealed.
