FIREMENS INSURANCE COMPANY OF BALTI-

MORE—

Capital stock to consist of the present

number of shares, 21, 000, shall be and is

established at $210, 000 actually paid in,

etc. with privilege of adding to capital

from surplus after dividends, etc. stock

notes as required by the original and sup-

plementary acts, etc. shall not hereafter be

exacted, etc. for said corporations insur-

ance liabilities now incurred, the stock

notes existing shall have force.

FISH—Act to preserve the breed of, and to regulate and

protect fishing in the Potomac river dur-

FOREIGN CORPORATIONS— After 1st May, 1846,

not lawful for any person to act as agent

for any individual or corporation not in-

corporated by this State to make insur-

ances, etc. although such individual, etc.

may be incorporated for such purposes by

the laws of any other State, etc. or foreign

kingdom, etc. to effect insurance without

first being licensed, etc.

License for effecting insurances, etc. to

be granted by the clerks, etc. who shall

apply for, and pay to clerk $100 for the

State, which license to have effect for 12

months from its date and no longer.

Clerks to transmit to Treasurer semi-

annually, etc. lists, etc. of licenses grant-

ed, etc. to account and pay into treasury

all monies received for licenses as required

by law, etc. deducting same commission

and subject to all the penalties for neglect,

etc.

If any person, etc. acting as agent, etc.

shall effect insurance, etc. without license,

to forfeit and pay for each offence $300,

one-half to informer, who is a competent
