COMMISSIONS

ALLOWED TO EXECUTORS

AND ADMINISTRATORS—

Orphan's court, upon return of inven-

tory, &c., to determine amount of tax, ex-

ecutor, &c., shall pay, regard being had to

rate of tax imposed by act of 1844, ch.

48, payment to be made to Register of

Wills, within sixty days from return of in-

ventory, &c.

On failure of executor, &c., to comply,

Register to give notice to Attorney Gen-

eral, who shall put the bond of executor,

&c., in suit, &c.

CONSTABLES

— See Dorchester County.

In case any constable has died or shall

die, having in execution any goods, &c.,

under writ of fieri facias, and where writs

of venditioni exponas, have issued and

said goods, shall not have been sold, any

justice of the peace on application of re-

presentative or security of said deceased

constable, to issue venditioni exponas, or

other appropriate process, to any constable

in the county wherein the goods taken may

lie, reciting death of constable, and con-

stable to whom such writ, &c., shall be

directed to seize the goods wherever

found, and after due notice proceed to sell,

&c., and make return, &c., for any neglect

of duty, such constable to be liable, &c.,

and his bond, answerable, &c.

Any sale so made to be valid, etc.

In case of sale of lands, etc., in virtue

of writ of venditioni exponas, etc., consta-

ble who shall have sold the same, to exe-

cute a deed of conveyance, such deed to

be acknowledged and recorded, etc., and

shall be operative, etc., such sale to be

continued by the County Court, etc.

Where constable has sold lands, etc.

and die without executing a deed, etc. the

judges of county court where land lies,

on application in writing by the purcha-

ser, etc. to appoint some person to exe-

cute deed, &c. deed to be executed ac-
