BANKS—

The charter of the Marine bank, as passed

in 1810, and the acts supplementary

thereto, in operation prior to 1st January,

1845, restored, provided the president

and directors shall be declared to be sub-

ject to the provisions of the 11th, 12th,

13th, 4th and 15th sections of the act

creating the Merchants' Bank.

The corporation empowered to make

temporary investments of its funds in pur-

chase of the public debt of the United

States, &c. to an extent not exceeding one-

fifth of capital, &c.

Until accepted, &c. to have no effect,

&c.

Western Bank of Baltimore may in-

crease its capital stock to any amount not

exceeding $589, 050, and report to treasu-

rer of Western Shore an annual statement,

under oath of cashier, actual amount of

such increase, &c.

Said restoration of capital may be made

and held in such form, &c. and subject to

such regulations as may be determined on

by said bank.

Article nineteen of the fundamental

rules, &c. repealed, and all elections here-

tofore held or that may be held in con-

formity with 6th section of the said char-

ter declared valid, &c.

All parts of original charter or of any

supplement inconsistent with this act re-

pealed.

The president, &c. authorised to adver-

tise and hold elections, &c., and to make

dividends in same manner, &c. as pre-

scribed by original act of incorporation,
