thereof paid into the treasury shall be a full and final dis-
charge of the said Henry P. Geoghegan and his sureties,
any law to the contrary notwithstanding.

Resolution authorising the Governor to allow George

Moore and others, reasonable compensation for servi-
ces rendered the State.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor be and he is hereby authorised to make
such reasonable compensation, to be paid out of the con-
tingent fund, to George Moore, Alexander M. Carr and
James Gilbert of Harford county, for pursuing and
arresting John W. Flinn, charged with the murder of
Thomas L. Quigley, as to him may appear just and
proper.

Resolutions authorising the repairing of the Public Build-
ings and Fire Engine &c., and appointing R. Swann,
G. G. Brewer and D. S. Caldwell, as a Committee to
superintend, &c.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
E. Swann, State Librarian, be authorised to employ
some competent person or persons to attend to the pub-
lic building, who shall be under his immediate direction
and control, in the cleaning and keeping in order of the
public building, ground, and the fire engine hereinafter
provided for, and that he be authorised to draw from the
treasury, and pay to not more than two persons, each
the sum of fifty dollars annually.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
George G. Brewer, Richard Swann and David S. Cald-
well be, and they are hereby authorised to advertise for
proposals in such manner as to them may seem expedi-
ent, for the painting, and the making of such other re-
pairs at the State House, as may be necessary to pre-
serve it from the weather, and for its complete and
