CHAP. 370.

Not to impair
right of owner.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That nothing contained
in this act shall in any manner impair the right of the
owner of said slave, to compensation for the value of
said slave, to the same extent as if said slave had been
executed in accordance with the sentence passed on him
by Charles county court.


CHAPTER 369.

Passed Mar.
10, 1846.

An act entitled, a supplement to an act entitled, an act
concerning the draining of Swamps and low grounds,
by the laying out and opening of public ditches in Wor-
cester, Queen Anne's and Dorchester Counties.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it appears that by the act of December
session, eighteen hundred and forty-four, chapter two
hundred and seventy-eight, no provision is made for the
filing and recording of the plat, and return made by the
commissioners appointed in virtue of said act — therefore,

Clerks to re-
cord plat.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the clerk of
the county courts of the several counties named in the act
to which this is a supplement, be and they are hereby re-
quired to record, among the records of the county courts
the plat and return made by the commissioners appointed
in virtue of the said original act, in all cases in which said
return shall be confirmed, and not otherwise, and that
they be allowed the usual fees for recording.

CHAPTER 370.

10, 1846.

A further supplement to an act passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and forty-four, chapter one hun-
dred and three.

Power to re-
duce extended.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the power heretofore granted to the president and;
directors of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road Compa-
ny, to reduce the fare at their discretion, upon all passen-
gers travelling from a point beyond the city of Baltimore
to a point beyond the city of Washington, and vice versa,
is hereby extended in like manner, to all passengers tra-
