CHAPTER 357.

CHAP. 358.

A further supplement to an act, entitled an act, for amend-
ing and reducing into system the laws and regulations
concerning last Wills and Testaments, the duties of Ex-
ecutors and Administrators and Guardians, and the
right of Orphans and representatives of deceased per-
sons, passed at November session, seventeen hundred and
ninety-eight, chapter one hundred and one.

10, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the first day of April
next, the coarse provender upon the farm or lands of any
person dying in this State, shall not be sold by the ex-
ecut or or administrator of such person so dying, but shall
be left upon the farm or plantation for the use thereof;
provided, that the person so dying, shall leave issue or
relations who may inherit the said lands from them, or a
devisee to whom he may have devised the same.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the term, coarse
provender, as used in the preceding section, shall include
the corn top, corn shucks, wheat, oat and rye straw,
that may be on the farm at the time of sale made by an
executor or administrator.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the provisions given
by law to the widows of deceased persons, shall not be
construed to include provisions put up or provided for
farms, other than the home or mansion house farm of the
person so dying.

CHAPTER 358.

Provisions, &c.

An act to allow Washington County Court to grant an
appeal in a certain case.

Passed March
10, 1846.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the court of Washington county, be and the same
is hereby authorised and required to grant an appeal in
the case heretofore decided by said court, wherein the
State of Maryland, use of Lewis Fiery was plaintiff, and
a certain Samuel Miller was defendant; and that the
points of law decided and the instructions given by the
said court, as set forth and contained in an appeal already
granted by the said court, wherein the said State of Ma-
