CHAP. 36.

shall make a return of all their proceedings to the com-
missioners of Worcester county to be there recorded at
the expense of said county, and paid as county charges
are levied and paid.

Two dollars
per day.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
herein appointed shall receive two dollars per day for
every day they shall be necessarily employed in the dis-
charge of the duties required by this act.


CHAPTER 36.

Passed Jan.
24, 1846.

A supplement to an act passed at December Session eigh-
teen hundred and forty, chapter one hundred and seven-
ty-two, entitled an act to incorporate a company to make
a Turnpike Road from Middletown, in Frederick
county, to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal at some
point thereon in the Catoctin Valley, between the Ca-
toctin and Blue Ridge Mountains.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, an act was passed at December session
eighteen hundred and forty, chapter one hundred and
seventy-two, incorporating a company to make a Turn-
pike Road from Middletown, in Frederick county, to the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal at some point thereon in the
Catoctin Valley, between the Catoctin and Blue Ridge
Mountains; and whereas, the twelfth section of said act pro-
vides that if said company shall not commence the making
of said road within five years from the passage of said
act, and shall not complete the same within two years
thereafter, the right of said company to revert to the
State of Maryland; therefore,

Time exten-
ded.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the time for commencing said road, as-
specified in said original act, be and it is hereby extended
to the twenty-seventh day of February, in the year eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-one, and that the time for com-
pleting the same, as provided in the aforesaid act, be and
it is hereby extended to the twenty-seventh day of Feb-
ruary in the year eighteen hundred find fifty-three.

Revived and
in force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all the provisions of
said original act, excepting only such as are inconsistent
with this act, be and they are hereby revived and con-
tinued in full force.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the provisions of this
act shall be in full force from and after the passage of
