CHAP. 290.

ties, mentioned in the original act, to which this is a sup-
plement, whose time, by live existing laws of this State,
to enforce payment has expired, to any judge of the
county court, or Howard district, in this State, where
they respectively reside, in the recess of said court, for
the benefit of the act, to which this is a supplement, the
Raid judge is hereby authorised and empowered, to pass
an order extending the time of said applicant, to be in
force until the next term of the county court of Howard
district.

clothed with
powers, &c.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That in all extensions of
the time of county collectors, sheriffs, or collectors of
State tax, made under, and by virtue of the original act,
to which this is a supplement, or by virtue of this sup-
plement thereto, the said county collectors, sheriffs, and
State tax collectors, shall be clothed with all the powers
and authorities originally conferred, by the laws of this
State, upon said officers, for the due performance of their
said duties.

An act to incorporate the Mutual Insurance Company, of
Carroll County,

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That John R. Longwell, Jacob Showel, Ja-
cob Reese, John Fisher, Isaac Shriver, Jesse Reifsnider,
James Raymond, John Swope, Andrew G. Ege, Frede-
rick Bachman, Jacob Everhart, William Roberts, James
L. Billingslea, James C. Atler, James Sykes, William
Shriver, Daniel Engel, Mordecai G. Cockey, Joseph
Ebaugh, Samuel Ecker and David Cassell, and all other
persons who may hereafter associate with them, in the
manner herein prescribed, be and they are hereby incor-

of Carroll County, for the purpose of insuring their re-
spective dwelling houses, manufactories, mills, stores,
shops and other buildings, merchandise, household furni-
ture, and other property, against loss or damage by fire,
and by such name shall have succession, to sue and be
