CHAP. 218.

city court of Baltimore, for the use of this State, to be
recovered in the name of the State, by action of debt,
or indictment in Baltimore county or city court, as the
case may be.

Duty of clerks
pay into trea-
sury.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the clerk of Baltimore city court and Baltimore county
court, to account with and pay into the treasury, all sums
of money received by them respectively, under the pro-
visions of this act, at the same time and in the same
manner in which they are now required to account for
and pay monies received by them for licenses, under
the act passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and twenty seven, chapter one hundred and seventeen,
and its supplements.

CHAPTER 217.

Passed Mar.
2, 1846.

An act authorising the commissioners of Cecil County to
cause a re-assessment of the real estate of Henry H.
Gilpin, of said county, to be made by such assessor as
they may appoint.

Authorised to

sessor.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland
That the commissioners of Cecil county, be and they are
hereby authorised to appoint an assessor to re-value the
real estate of Henry H. Gilpin of said county, who shall
re-assess the same and make return of his re-valuation to
the commissioners of said county, and the taxes here-
after to be levied on the estate of the said Henry H. Gil-

pin, shall be based on such re-valuation; provided how-
ever, the said commissioners shall confirm the return of
the said assessor, and the said Henry H. Gilpin shall de-
fray all the expenses incident on such re-valuation of his
real estate as aforesaid.

CHAPTER 218.

3, 1846.

A further additional supplement to the act to facilitate the
collection of a portion of the Tax, Levied in pursuance of
the act of March session, eighteen hundred and forty-
one, chapter twenty-three.
