1845.

chapter forty three, be and the same are hereby extend-
ed and made applicable to all cases of tenancies from
year to year, provided a notice of six months in writing,
shall be given by the landlord or his agent or representa-
tives to the tenants, before the expiration of the current
year.

CHAP. 310.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That what when the ten-
ants shall give notice by parol to the landlord, or to his
agent or representatives, at least one month before the
expiration of the lease or tenancy, in all cases provided
for by the act of seventeen hundred and ninety-three,
chapter forty-three, and at least six months in all such
cases as are provided for by the first section of this act,
of the intention of such tenant to remove at the end of
that year, and to give up and surrender possession of the
said lands, tenements or messuages, at that time; and

tent disinterested testimony, it shall not be necessary for
the said landlord or his agent or representatives to prove

tenements or messuages; but the proof of such notice
from the tenant as aforesaid, shall entitle his landlord,

CHAPTER 210.

Entitle land-
lord to recover.

An act to authorise the Governor of Maryland to appoint
an Inspector of Flour for the town of Cumberland.

2, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Governor shall appoint on or be-
fore the first Monday of March next, and annually there-
after, or oftener if necessary, an inspect or of flour for the
town of Cumberland, who shall be governed in his in-
spections by the same rules and regulations that at pre-
sent exist, and shall be entitled to the same compensation
at present received by other inspectors.
