ing paid the purchase money, and being willing so to do,
upon having conveyances for the pieces of land sold by
Thomas Barnes, and it being represented to this General
Assembly, that no deeds for the same be executed,
unless by a decree in equity, or by an act passed by the
General Assembly of Maryland— therefore,

CHAP. 190.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Joshua C. Gist, of Carroll county, Ma-
ryland, executor of the testament and last will of Thomas
Barnes, late of Carroll county, deceased, be and he is
hereby authorised and empowered, upon the payment of
the whole purchase money, to convey by good and suffi-
cient deeds to Richard A. Kirkwood and his heirs, and to
Ezekiel Pickett and his heirs, the parts of tracts and
pieces of land respectively purchased by them from
Thomas Barnes, and described in the several bonds of
conveyance, executed by Thomas Barnes in his life
time.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said Joshua
C. Gist, as executor of the last will of Thomas Barnes,
deceased, shall report such sales to the orphan's court of
Carroll county, and shall account as executor for the pro-
ceeds of such sales and the interest due and accruing
thereon, in the same manner as executors now account
and are held liable for the proceeds of sale of any real
estate, made by them under powers of sale contained
in any will authorising them to act as executor or execu-
tors.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Tench Tilghman, Kennedy R. Owen,
William Powell, William Rose, Mathew Tilghman
Goldsborough, William B. Willis, Thomas Auld, Henry
C. Bateman, John Stevens, Thomas R. Hollyday,
John Bozman Kerr, Morris O. Colston, James N. Golds-
borough, John McDowell Goldsborough, Edward Lloyd,
Thomas D. Singleton, Bennett Tomlinson, Charles
Lowndes, Thomas Pierson, John Stevenson, and all
other persons who may hereafter associate with them in
the manner herein prescribed, be and they are hereby

Incorporated.
