1845.

building, when so repaired, rebuilt, or improved; and
that the person or persons doing the work, or furnishing
the materials for said repairs, rebuilding or improvement,
shall be entitled to the benefit of each and every of said
provisions for his, her, or their indemnity.

CHAP. 177.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That every machine here-
after to be erected, constructed, or repaired within the

city of Baltimore, shall be subject to a lien, in like man-
ner as buildings are made subject under the provisions of
this, and the original act to which this is a supplement.
SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That any person or persons
furnishing work or materials, or both as aforesaid, upon
compliance with the requisitions of this act and the origi-
nal act, to which this is a supplement, shall be entitled
to all the benefits and advantages granted by said acts
without regard to the amount of his, her, or their respec-
tive claims.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the provisions of this
act, and of the original act to which this is a supplement,
shall apply to, and be in full force and effect in Carroll
county, Baltimore county and Harford county; and such
provisions of said original act and this supplement as re-
fer to Baltimore city and county courts, shall refer to
Carroll, Baltimore and Harford county courts.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of
acts inconsistent with the provisions of this act, be and
the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 177.

Repealed.

An act to incorporate the subscribers to the Warfield Aca-
demy in Howard District, in Anne Arundel County.

29, 1846.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all persons who now are, or may here-
after become subscribers to the capital stock intended to
be raised for the building or establishment of an academy
near Cooksville in Howard District, shall be, and they
are hereby made and constituted a body politic and cor-
porate by the name, style and title of the Warfield Aca-
demy, and by that name, style and title, shall have con-
tinued succession, and be able and capable in law to ac-
quire property, real, personal and mixed, by gift, devise
or purchase, and to hold, sell, dispose of, and convey
